A Brief Intro of Performing Artists:
1. Boy George:
He is a legend who has had a lasting impression on the new wave and pop genres. He became well-known as the main singer of Culture Club, a band he co-founded in 1981.
Hit songs like “Time” (Clock of the Heart) and “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” from the band’s debut album, Kissing to Be Clever, launched them to worldwide renown.
With follow-up albums like Colour by Numbers and Waking Up with the House on Fire, Culture Club dominated charts all over the world in the 1980s, with songs like Karma Chameleon and The War Song.
2. The Little River Band:
With multi-platinum albums and number-one hits like “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” “The Night Owls,” “Take It Easy On Me,” “Help Is on Its Way,” “Happy Anniversary,” “We Two,” “Man On Your Mind,” “The Other Guy,” and “It’s A Long Way There,” Little River Band (LRB) experienced tremendous chart success throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
LRB broke the record in 1982 by having six years in a row in the top 10. Wayne Nelson, a bassist and singer, joined the group in 1980. He collaborated with the original members who had some of the most distinctive voice and harmonies, helping to create the distinctive LRB sound.
3. Bonnie Tyler:
One of Wales’ most well-known performers, Bonnie Tyler, has achieved international chart success. In addition to her extensive record of hit singles, which include Total Eclipse of the Heart, It’s a Heartache, Holding Out for a Hero, Lost in France, More Than a Lover, Bitterblue, and If I Sing You a Love Song, she is well-known for her unique husky voice.
Tyler has played for crowds all around the world throughout her 50-year career, and her most recent CDs, Between the Earth and the Stars and Rocks and Honey, have received praise from critics.
4. Mickey Thomas:
The high-pitched voice that carried Starship through the 1980s belongs to Mickey Thomas. Prior to joining Jefferson Starship as the lead vocalist in 1979, he established himself as the main vocalist on the mega-hit Fooled Around And Fell In Love with The Elvin Bishop Band in 1976. The band had a number of singles, including Jane, No Way Out, Find Your Way Back, Stranger, and Layin’ It on the Line.
